DAY 1 – THE RANCH RESORT

  • 12:00 Arrival at The Ranch Resort

  • 13:00 Buffet lunch

  • 14:00 Check in and freshen up

  • 15:00 Bush walk encounter with lions / Game Drive

  • 18:00 Boma Fire Session

  • 19:00 Bush Braai Dinner

 

DAY 2 – MAKAPAN’S VALLEY CAVES

  • 8:00 Breakfast

  • 9:00 Leave for Makapan’s Valley

  • 10:00 Cave Tour and Historical Tour

  • 11:30 Sip and Paint (paint traditional clay pots – demo of how they are made and painted)

  • 13:00 Lunch and entertainment

  • 14:00 Return to the ranch

DAY 3 – OPTIONAL DAY

DAY 4 – Ancient traditions

BALENI SALT MINE
9AM to 11AM

Check out and collect breakfast packs in Thohoyandou as we head to Giyani to visit the ancient salt mine on the Klein Letaba river that is fed by an ancient hot spring with a legend of its own. Only women are allowed to mine and they have used the same technique for over 2000 years.

DAY 4 – Bakone Malapa

Arrive at Bakone Malapa Open Air Museum to see how life used to be in a traditional Bapedi homestead. Learn how fire was made without matches and what it took for an ancient culture to survive back in the day. Enjoy the tour and lunch before departing back to Gauteng.

You may have received an error message during your purchase process.

It may have been either a 400 or 500 code error or simply a blank screen and you may wonder if your order has gone through.

This could have been caused by many factors:

1. Your session expired and you were taking too long to complete the order.

4. Your credit card was invalid (there should be a specific error message indicating this).
